Writing a Strong Classified Ad
Your job as an online advertiser is to get the reader's attention with a compelling headline, get them interested in your offer, build their desire for more information and get them to take action.
Your headline is the most important part of your ad, as it will determine whether or not the rest of your ad is read. Ensure your headline is concise and to the point, a headline that is too long will lack impact and likely be difficult to read. The best headlines will grab a reader's attention and highlight a benefit to entice the reader to click on the ad to read more.
Now that you have a potential customers' attention, you need to get them interested in your product or service. Develop a mental picture of the people who will be reading your ad, and focus on the benefits of your product or service to them. Be specific and give plenty of detail in your description. You never know what feature will appeal to the reader so ensure you highlight as many benefits as possible.
